When reading Bible verses, it doesn’t just have to be one person standing up reading a single verse; you can make it fun and truly enjoyable for all! The sad truth is that many kids don’t like to pay attention, but making it almost like a game can draw them in to be educated by the Bible! Here are a few ways to make it fun:
Trivia: Make a short trivia game for the family to answer aloud when called upon. Start a Bible verse, then have multiple choice answers with the lines the correctly complete the verse and some that sound like they could.
Draw from a hat: Write a few Thanksgiving Bible verses on pieces of paper, and pass a hat around the room with the verses in it. Each person reads the verse that they picked from the hat.
Illustrate: Are you an artist? Well, rather than simply reading the chosen Bible verses, illustrate them in a slideshow or on poster boards on an easel! Many people are visual learners and can pay more attention when pictures are involved!
