You have touched your mom’s heart since the day she knew about you, and then when she laid eyes on you, forget it! She was captivated by the little miracle that lay in her arms and knew that she was now on a lifelong journey, giving her a woman’s greatest purpose. Flash forward to Mother’s Day. Giving her a gift that touched her heart as deeply might just be impossible, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try!
Christian Mother’s Day Poems
When it comes to gift-giving on Mother’s Day, one need not to look further than writing Christian Mother’s Day poems! Not only will they touch a mother’s heart in places a store-bought gift can’t touch, but she will cherish it forever! Now, there are a few ways to go about giving Christian Mother’s Day poems as gifts:
- On paper: The traditional way to write poems is simply by hand on a piece of paper. Sign and date it!
- In a card: A card is a must on Mother’s Day, so if there is empty space on one of the sides of the card, feel free to fill it in with the poem!
- In a frame: Typing the poem and printing it out on a nice piece of stationary, followed by framing it makes for a really nice keepsake gift that she can hang forever! My favorite.
- A recording: There’s devices you can buy or even a stuffed animal that can record your voice. This is precious because your mom will always have your voice to hear!
Writing Christian Mother’s Day poems can be hard, so I wrote a few for you to read as examples and hopefully it will stir up some inspiration for you! You can also find some inspiration by reading through these Bible verses about mothers.
My Angel
A Mom is an angel
sent from above,
hand picked by God
to give us His love.
She shines so bright,
love from Holy light.
She makes the wrongs right,
even at night!
My mom is my angel.
Oh, yes she is!
She is loved by me,
she is loved by Him.
I Call Her Mom
Moms have a special place
in our hearts forever.
They guide us through the wildest journey
and manage to keep themselves together.
With the strength of a thousand men
and through the power of God,
a woman made a choice to keep me.
I love her, I call her MOM!
MOTHER
Most beautiful and
Optimistic person
There is.
Her strength is
Eternal, given by Him.
Rejoice! Hallelujah and thank you, Jesus!
God’s Creation
If it wasn’t for God, we wouldn’t exist.
He made us all, and there’s one thing he wouldn’t miss.
The qualities of a mother, and all it takes
to raise His children in his created place.
He knew just what he was doing. Oh, yes he did.
For when he made woman to care for kids
He gave her strength, He gave her patience,
He gave her unconditional love, oh what a special creation!
Thank you, God, for making mothers so amazing
I’m especially thankful for mine and all she’s done raising me!
A Choice Love
(A Poem for Adoptive Mothers)
A woman made the choice to love me
and then became my mother.
Even though she didn’t birth me,
I couldn’t pray for another!
She took me under her angelic wing
and raised me as her own.
If it weren’t for her, who knows where I’d be?
A “what if” that will remain unknown.
I owe it all to this amazing woman
who, by the grace of God
Took me in and taught me well.
Adopted moms, I applaud!
If you really need inspiration to write some good poems, though, one must look no further than their mother! After all, a mom’s abilities to do all that they do are astounding and clearly a gift from God, just as you were to her.
This is so awesome. With your permission, can I give it to the children in our church and say it to? I will appreciate
Of course! We hope the kids (and moms) enjoy them! Happy Mother’s Day!
